Stafford too fragile for Lions?

07:59 AM ET 11.08 | Matthew Stafford scrambled, hit an open lane and ran until a linebacker tripped him from behind, and Stafford went to the ground. No big deal. Get up. Get ready for the next play. But there's nothing routine when Matthew Stafford hits the turf now. You hold your breath. In the fourth quarter Sunday, Stafford immediately grabbed the same right shoulder injured in the opener in Chicago -- and what should have been the biggest Lions' victory in the past 10 years became just another sadistic chapter in this franchise's unbelievably cruel history. There's no debating it now. The Lions have themselves a $72-million injury magnet.

Stafford really does seem fragile... If he can stay healthy an entire game, the Lions always compete... But when he's hurt, it's over.

Wes Welker kicked a PAT. It was the highlight of the Patriots game yesterday.
I had to look at the calendar to see if it was still Halloween. The Pats wore Cleveland's uniforms, and the Browns came as New England, right? I mean, Brady was tentative and off for most of the game, while McCoy was hitting receivers in stride. The Pats D played like girls, and gave up in the 4th quarter. When Brady did put the ball between the numbers, the receivers dropped it, or fumbled it away.
Can Brady play hockey? Doug Flutie used to.

Nice job SI. Incompetence seems to be epidemic in this country. Did you not even look at what you were posting. Stuff like that would get you fired in the old days.

Wow, if Stafford hurt his shoulder, it's going to take something off his slap shot, eh?

Here's the FRAGILITY issue:
"Hanson hurt his right knee when New York's Trevor Pryce stumbled into him on a short field goal attempt. The Jets were penalized on the play...
Kickers are fragile. I suggest every NFL teams should be running into kickers as matter of game planning. Take a penalty and remove the kicker from the game. Then you have receivers and linemen trying to kick PAT's and field goals. Gotta improve your chance of winning... in exchange for penalty of a few yards!
Worked for the JETS.
