Georgia views Auburn meeting as pride game

08:52 AM ET 11.08 | While Auburn is playing to clinch the SEC West, remain undefeated and in the national championship picture, Georgia could clinch bowl eligibility with a mammoth upset. With its five wins this season over opponents who are a combined 13-33 (and none better than 5-5), Georgia's football team lacks a signature victory. It gets a shot at one Saturday. ... "We want to play where we'll be proud of our effort, and we want the Bulldog Nation to be proud of the way we play," Georgia coach Mark Richt said Sunday.

The only ones who can stop Cam is the NCAA.

UGA may be playing against a Cam-less auburn team. The NCAA has requested cell phone records of auburn's recruiters and auburn's AD has admitted they are being investigated.

Auburn has a bad secondary. If Bobo actually decides to throw the ball to Green it could get interesting.

Does that mean F### ESPN and CBS? What did they do to you?

Yep... Nothing has turned up on the financial records yet but that was personal...But that has more to do w/ his dad having a church... Heard they NCAA cant get that

Auburn might not get in trouble, but I feel like it is almost a certainty that Cam will be declared ineligible at some point. You don't have a bidding war and the guy change his school of choice at the last minute. He had MSU hats and memorabilia all over his rooms, according to reports and went to numerous MSU games.

When asked about it, Mullen said, "The people who need to know, know the facts. And that is all I have to say about it." So, he's putting the ball into the NCAA's court.

Auburn's AD when asked about wheher Cam would be eligible for the rest of the season, he said, "There's just no way to know that at this point." It's 3 more freaking games and he doesn't know for a fact Cam will be eligible. Read between the lines. This looks like it is a disagreeement over the rules between auburn and the NCAA and the NCAA always wins.

His Dad already turned in the church financial records this summer from what I've heard. This has been talked about in MS since Jan. or Feb. around these parts. People believed Cam to be a lock for MSU, then out of nowhere AU swooped in. Unless those phone records have something incriminating, Cam will walk away clean from this one.

Actually, this situation is unfolding almost exactly the way Alabama's situation with Albert Means unfolded.

A lot of denials but the NCAA is still investigating. Behind the scenes a lot more information is coming out not verified yet.

It sure would be nice to pull the rug out from under AU this year. That would make it 5 years in a row if the dawgs can pull it off.

I dont think it's likely....but possible? sure!

not to mention if UGA pulls this off they will tie up the series record with AU at 53-53-8.

I know it's a dream, but I would like for UGA to beat AU with Cam than with out him.
