Is Jerry ready to consider a GM?

07:57 AM ET 11.09 | With Jason Garrett's chances at success terribly slim, Jerry Jones, in advance of the next NFL season, may hire a big-name coach to pump some life back into his franchise -- though perhaps now there is option. That's Jones stepping aside and hiring a general manager and (heaven forbid) letting him hire the next head coach. It's how pretty much 29 other NFL organizations do the job. ... [Look] at any Super Bowl winner of the last 15 years and you find franchises that have ownership and then a general manager and then a coaching staff. What a concept.

Zorn didn't meet the requirements of the Rooney Rule so Jerry didn't waste his time.

Easy, Jerry. Here's an economical solution for you. Get a life-sized cardboard cutout of Vince Lombardi. The players will still give him more respect than they gave The Doughboy.

Logic tells us the only constant over the last fourteen years has been the " GM. " Not hard to figure out the problem.

Marvin Lewis ...although I suspect Mike Brown will let him finish the season..
Lovie Smith, and Josh McDaniels might be racing to the head of line, too
