Illini suspend three freshmen

Illinois receiver Brian Gamble will miss his second game because of suspension Saturday after an incident near a Champaign bar early Thursday. Gamble is among three freshmen coach Ron Zook suspended after they were cited for city ordinance violations. The others are offensive tackle Mark Jackson and defensive tackle Daryle Ballew, neither of whom have played this season.

It always seems like most of the infractions with players occurs when they are freshmen.

It seems like it has to do with the fact that they are away from their mommies for the first time in their life, and they have no discipline. It happens at all schools.

career nfl players there...it seems like they are breeding them early for the NFL.
