McNabb's health still a question for Shanahan

08:06 AM ET 11.11 | Mike Shanahan will likely have to answer questions about cardiovascular and hamstring issues for at least another little while. [Shanahan said] that quarterback Donovan McNabb's hamstring injuries ... had improved, according to head trainer Larry Hess. But Shanahan couldn't say whether McNabb would be well enough to run the two-minute offense in practice yet. "But by no means is he full-speed yet," Shanahan said. "As we go later on in the week, I'll get a feel exactly where he's at, but right now I can't tell you if he could go full-speed."

McNabb's ability is still a question for the rest of us

Here comes Grossman to save the day...

Rex to the rescue. Gator bait.

Mikey is looking for a Elway clone - not going to find that with an older QB that is on the downside of his career. But he should have known that before the trade too.

Andy Reid must feel like a Jedi right about now.

Either Mikey did not properly evaluate McNabb before the trade (bad judgment), or he has some strange sense that he could coach him into being another Elway (deluded).

Shanahan is, on his best day , a mediocre coach. His best days are way behind him. Now he is just a washed up old guy looking for a come back.

Sorta sucks when you find the basket with all your eggs in it is old and falling apart, huh?

The Redskins went from looking like a contender in the early season to a complete and total farce when Shanahan pulled McNabb with two minutes to play in a game they had a chance to win. He continues to perpetuate the charade with lame **** excuses.

Who knows whats up in D.C., I thought McNabb's game play was just fine. In fact the Skin's have not looked this good in years. If it isn't broke don't fix it.

It is never a good sign when a team is willing to trade a QB to someone in their own division. Bledsoe was the previous example and now I think it is Donovan.

Has the entire world forgotten that is one of the worst O-lines in football and there is no running game (other than McNabb running for his life)? He may have some miles on the treads, but he is by far not the biggest problem. If what Shanny did to the defense is any indication, I would say he and Shanny Jr should be looking in the mirror...

Anyone think Shanahan still has Elway on his speed dial?

Redskin Nation is doomed if that happens.

Tell that to the coaching staff in Denver.

Shanahan is obviously contagious. Did they not decon up there when he left?

Wait a second...a Redskins thread and no Chico? must have been abducted by aliens.

Nah, two years later, the team is still contaminated.
