Pens hit rock bottom?

3rd period melt-down - I think it happens to every team once or twice a season.

it was Pens -Bruins last night, and Crosby didn't get into another fight

so a coaching problem? or players blowing their assignments, who need to be benched?

Said ALL ALONG - it is a COACHING PROBLEM!!! Can we all agree it isn't FLEURY? Or should he be blamed for last night's game too!?

And good for Brooks OrPIK calling it like it is!

They miss Staal big time. Malkin is centering the 3rd line. Sid might as well be centering a 2nd line at best with his linemates. The model of being stacked at center and having scrub wings doesn't work when Staal goes down.
Why was Lovejoy in last night?

Pretty ugly 3rd. Wow!!

in a way this is inevitable, they have been so consistently good over the last couple of years, and now they are having a bit of a regression. Some teams always play above their heads, and then they play down....right now they are slumping, but they can turn it around pretty quick with a few good games.

Buffalo, and NJ both had great seasons last year as well, now look where they are sitting. i have more faith in pittsburgh than either of those two franchises to turn it around.

Staal being absent is a problem. However, again, I am CONVINCED it is the coaching. For instance, Lovejoy and GoGo paired up together? Hello? Yep, good move!!!

Ain't that easy staying on top is it.

Maybe if you weren't a bunch of classless punks, led by Mr. Classless wearing the "C", you wouldn't have the karma thing biting you in the rear.

That 3rd period was a total smackdown.

Isn't their pattern over the last three seasons to start playing well in Feb/March and come into the playoffs hot? Let me know when the playoffs start.

I am not suggesting we should get rid of them. I am suggesting that JUST MAYBE Bylsma shouldn't be pairing them up on shifts, that's all. They are both AHL'ers in my opinion. GoGo started off strong, but has been playing (as I predicted) like an AHLer lately! Lovejoy is an AHLer.
