Theismann: Vikings are coming apart

08:03 AM ET 11.12 | Pat Williams had strong words Thursday for the reporter whose unnamed sources spoke of Vikings players not playing for Brad Childress. NFL Network analyst Joe Theismann had even harsher words for those players quoted in the story. Theismann addressed the issue before Thursday's game. "You guys are gutless," Theismann said in a transcript provided by the network. "If you want to make a statement like that, put your name to it instead of hiding behind the term 'gutless.' So if you don't like the coach, tell him. If you're going to say it publicly, put your name to it because that just makes you wimpy and gutless in my mind. That whole organization is a ship that's coming apart."

Childress should resign. Yeah, he's under contract. But look, he's not getting the job done, and even he knows it. Ziggy doesn't wan't to fire him, because they write the stupid contracts so that the coaches get paid even if they fail, lose and get the axe. But, if Chilly had any self-respect at all, he'd quit.
