08:05 AM ET 11.12 | The Lions' sniping with Bart Scott continued into another news cycle. This time, Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham fired back at the Jets linebacker who called the Lions the "dirtiest team he ever faced" last Sunday. ... "For him to call us dirty really ticks me off. We play tough and we play hard and we're going to continue to do that. Maybe if, what's his name -- Mr. Scott -- maybe he will read this if you write it. I am livid. There's no place for a player to make comments like that, or for a coach, either, and I'm not taking it, not from him. I've been around the horn too many times. I don't coach dirty football and I never have."

What the heck? The Lions have suck since Barry Saunders departed. Why's this a story interns?

November 12, 2010  08:12 AM ET

The Lions are starting to gain some respect I see. Schwartz and company do not teach dirty football but they will knock your ass around some. Quit sniveling Scott and hit em back!

Jets already looking for excuses.

November 12, 2010  08:13 AM ET

Scott played for the Ravens, right?

November 12, 2010  08:15 AM ET

That's the biggest load of B.S. I've ever seen.

Anyone who remembers Cunningham from the "Hard Knocks" with the Chiefs knows one thing for sure - the comments above were heavily edited.

I'm willing to bet there were a slew of expletives during that interview.

I thought the Titans were the dirtest team??? Oh wait, maybe it was the Steelers?

November 12, 2010  08:43 AM ET

Used to be the Raiders, year after year. And they were proud of it. Intimidation was part of their game plan.

Shut up Gunther Cunningham we all know Bart Scott can't read.

I got your back!

Scott got pancaked a few times in that game, he is just letting of steam after the game films were shown to the defense.

November 12, 2010  09:06 AM ET

He doesn't coach winning football either.

November 12, 2010  09:07 AM ET

Ms. Scott, respecfully ma'am, just play your game.

November 12, 2010  09:43 AM ET

it is football and not soccer

November 12, 2010  10:12 AM ET

Owww, stop it. Don't play so rough. I'm telling mom!

November 12, 2010  10:19 AM ET

Sorry Gunther....but you guys did play dirty. There's nothing wrong with it, but don't act like your defense wasn't pushing after the whistle, falling on top of piles late and throwing late shots at the QB.

You're livid? Riiiiiiiiight.
