08:01 AM ET 11.17 | Though Andrew Bynum is expected to return within the coming weeks, the Lakers are looking at options. They're looking to add a big man after losing reserve center Theo Ratliff for at least four to six weeks because of surgery on his left knee. ... The Lakers will talk to the representative for free-agent Erick Dampier, though it might not be a good match for either side. Dampier will want more than a short-term contract, and the Lakers are looking for a little more mobility in the post.

Awww...I would love it....

Shouldn't the heat be the ones calling dampier, not LA? LA will be fine with or without him. He needs LA for a ring more then the lakers need him.

Damp is better off watching games from home.

It's time to give some time to their rookie 6-9 275lb Derrick Character

He's been playing but Phil hates rookies.

If Dampier will sign bring him in - it's like sticking a billboard in the middle of the freeway.

Actually that sounds more detrimental than helpful...

In other news...Shannon Brown continues to improve greatly, making us fans that have been touting his potential look good - finally! 11.3 ppg and over 50% from three. The only downside is that he will opt out again next year, and if he gets passed up again, damn...

Actually a team like Minnesota really needs him. If you take Darko out and put in Dampier, Love and Beasley really explode.

Not a fan of Darko but I have him on my deep league fantasy b-ball team. He has provided much needed blocked shots for me and contributed some boards. He hurts me at the line and his field goal percentage should be much better than it is. Point of all this being, he hasn't been horrid for Minnesota.
