08:39 AM ET 11.19 | The Islanders may have found a way to make more bad press. Chris Botta, who publicized the Islanders for 15 years, had his credentials to cover the team on his blog revoked Tuesday, a day after the last-place franchise fired Coach Scott Gordon. ... Botta spent 15 years in public relations with the Islanders before leaving in 2008 to start his blog, NYI Point Blank, which the team financed for a year. The blog has helped fill a media void for the moribund, publicity-starved team.

This move ought to turn this team around.

My thoughts exactly! They should put the dude back on the pay roll, double his salary and provide him with free haz-mat protection!

What more can be said really? Anyone who stayed faithful for 15 years deserves a little leeway. What a joke of a franchise.

Agreed. Wang is ruining the Islanders. As a side note, if i was a multi-millionaire named Wang, i would change my name to something cool like Max Power.

You know its bad when you're team is over 30 years old, with 4 Cups and you are still the most pathetic franchise in league ahead of Phoenix, Nashville, Florida, Atlanta, Dallas, etc

I think this guy is on FanHouse as their hockey scribe/blogger. I can't say that his stuff is overly critical or extra special in any way.

So is this the type of thread we're supposed to talk about toilet paper and wiping techniques on Hank?

That's because we have some of the bigest arses in the world, right here in the U.S. Even with all the wiping it's hard to keep some of 'em clean!

They are going to sink the ship themselves, and have it so the public knows nothing of the future plans, until they hit a T.V near you!

A guy that covers the Isles, gets his pass rejected, and the rest of the hockey world stops on a dime to listen.......
