Parcells wants back in

08:06 AM ET 11.19 | Bill Parcells stepped down as Miami's EVP of football operations on Sept. 7, but it may not mean the current daily consultant is tapering off. Judging by Parcells' own words in an upcoming NFL Network documentary about his life, Parcells likely won't even be consulting for the Dolphins in the near future. Instead, he sounds like he will be giving his input to another NFL team sooner rather than later. "Get me back out there," Parcells says near the end of the NFL Films-produced Bill Parcells: Reflections on a Life in Football, which debuts Friday night on NFL Network at 8 p.m. "I can do this one more time. That's how I feel."

There are plenty of teams that do need to be rebuilt from the ground up. And there's only one Tuna. Wherever he ends up, that will be the team to watch in 3 years. He's not going to choose a team like Dallas, with an interfering owner, or Arizona, where he won't get a budget to work with.

At this stage of his career he may be better suited as a general manager than a coach. If that is what he's looking for, then Dallas could be a good fit, if JJ has the intelligence to step away and let him rebuild the team. That's a big if, but Dallas is a team in need of a good GM, and Parcells knows his stuff.

The HOPE is that Jerry has finally learned something this season. Then again..all that facial stretching may have shrunk his brain to the size of a walnut.

I doubt Dallas could ever work- because Parcells would want to run things & he saw that it didn't work before.

Parcells left Dallas because he wanted out. JJ offered him a contract extension but Bill declined. That's when JJ signed Wade. Parcells is not coming back to Dallas.
