09:09 AM ET 11.19 | Astros owner Drayton McLane has, according to a report, retained the services of an investment bank to assist in the sale of the team. McLane, who could not be reached for comment Thursday night, has owned the Astros since 1992. Having entertained on and off for at least a couple of years the idea of selling, he has ramped up efforts recently. In partnering with Allen & Company and specifically industry giant Steve Greenberg -- the son of Baseball Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg and a partner in the firm -- McLane has secured the services of one of the foremost brokers of deals in sports and entertainment business. It is a much more aggressive approach than he has taken in the past when he has simply said he would consider selling if the right offer came along.

I got $523.74 in bank account...is that enough?

He has not done much with the team lately, or enough really in the past. This should be good for the game.

I feel sorry for the Ricketts family. They could have bought the Astros but now they're stuck with the Cubbies and an aged ballpark who's best feature is that people like it as a beer garden. Oh, and they are stuck with Soriano, Fukudome, Ramierez, and Zambrano with Jim Hendrey as their GM.
