09:04 AM ET 11.21 | Word on the street is that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is planning on putting together a "super staff" of assistant coaches for the Cowboys next year, and is willing to pony up to get the best. That could be an indication that he is thinking about retaining Jason Garrett.

Well, he wouldn't have to brow-beat any new coach into subservience if he keeps Garrett. Job's already done.

So, after one win, we're giving Garrett the keys to the kingdom? Perhaps we should wait this one out, see how the season goes, and see what coaches are on the market at the end of the season. Wasn't Garrett part of the problem just a few weeks ago?

Get a new G.M. fire yourself.

That would be the best thing for the Cowboys, but it'll never happen.

Gotta love the week-by-week knee jerk reactions out of Jerry Jones.

Keep looking for that life preserver Jerry. Your constant meddling/indecision is funny to the rest of the NFC East.

For every week that goes by with Jerry in the news, Al Davis looks more and more normal.

No doubt. This type of nonsense will prevent him from getting an established coach that's worth having around.

Same guy who said he was'nt going to fire Phillips.

One W doesn't make a season, bro. JJ needs to wait til the end of the season before he serves up the head coach job on a silver (& blue) platter to Garrett. JG needs to earn the job. Let's see how the Boys finish '10 before we make BIG plans for '11.

Don't lean too far Jerry, you might wind up in his lap.
