Haslem's season in jeopardy?

08:13 AM ET 11.22 | A Sunday MRI revealed a torn ligament in Udonis Haslem's left foot, and he is now on the shelf indefinitely. Heat president Pat Riley said Sunday night that he expects Haslem will play again this season but doesn't know when. The Heat are bringing in a specialist to evaluate Haslem on Monday, after which a more definitive timetable will be known. Asked if Haslem could miss the season, Riley said, "We don't know right now. With him, I doubt if he'll miss the year, but let's wait until [Monday] to get the final determination of what it is." ... Haslem's loss is a huge setback for a team that ranks 19th in the NBA in rebounding and has been hurt badly on the glass in several games.

His absence is the reason the Heat are sucking wind.

Chris bosh is manly enough to rebound for the both of you. What better way for cb to toughen up then to give him the four and five spot to manage. In all srsness this is a huge loss to the heat, haslem may have been undersized for his position but he represented toughness and D to a Miami team that arguably has neither. This won't end well for Mia

I don't know why they kept Magloire and failed to sign Dampier. They call Magloire the "Big Cat" more like the big guy who looks lost on the freaking court!

This is evil spirit at work.... what did he expect after lying to Cleveland and disrespecting the whole world by not giving a **** about anyone that mattered? Lebron is cursed and so is Miami as long as they keep signing his check. What a demon! Get that devil child outta south beach.

Isnt this what some predicted would happen? I mean this team was pretty much built around 5 players (LBJ, Wade, Bosh, Miller, and Haslem....They spent ALL there cap on those guys and now dont really have anyone to back them up when they get hurt...Thats going to be there weak spot for the foreseeable future....

Haslem is the heart and soul of the Heat. Not the so called big 3. If he is out for the season, they can kiss the season and perhaps the playoffs goodbye. Yes I know full well the 3 can win many games, but for how long if the other players can't get involved and score etc.

Well if ya believe in karma then lbj will never get a ring and end up "taking his talents" to the hall of fame as the best to never win a ring. Not everyone believes in karma though, only time will tell. Right now and all season, lbj has been the least of the problems for the heat. He is the only consistent piece right now. Even wade is struggling in his role at the second fiddle. They have alot of problems in Mia rite now, but unless you count karma lbj isn't the issue.

I thought Haslem would be the solid front-line player who would rebound & play defense ... and be an excellent complement to the chosen 3. Without him, I thought the Heat would be in trouble.

Time to find out.

I think Heat have to make some type of move now. I don't think a FA signing is enough. Do they have any picks left ?
