Frazier merely auditioning?

07:59 AM ET 11.23 | There's a new sheriff in town as Leslie Frazier has been given the keys in Minnesota. It can be argued that this is an audition for Frazier, who has six games to show Zygi Wilf how he would run the team if he removed the interim label after the season. That might go beyond wins and losses, but more how the players respond to Frazier's direction. But it also seems likely that the Wilfs have their eye on other candidates and there are certainly a few big-name coaches available. Would Tony Dungy, Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden be interested? All three of those coaches would make a splash and energize the fan base.

What would be the attraction for any big-name coaches? Future move to LA?

November 23, 2010  08:01 AM ET

If you're talking about Frazier, don't show a pic of Childress.

November 23, 2010  08:01 AM ET

Lookie lookie at who's #1.
Interns, why can't Leslie get the gig full time?

Maybe the lure is that Brett Favre won't be the QB next year.

A sheriff named Leslie? bwahahahahahaha.

Frazier has been on a lot of team short lists. but last night he said that Favre is the starting Q.B. for the team. he'll be done at the end of the year.

Just don't show any more pics of Childress. Ever. Not even the Gilligan picture.

Who cares either way. The Vikings have become the laughing stock of the league with their inept handling of the Farve, Childress, Moss, etc....situations.

Mongo like Sheriff Bart. Mongo impressed.

As opposed to running out on the field in Washington sporting Tarvaris Jackson at QB? Hilarious. Favre is the best shot he has.

Is Ziggy running the show? Is he the one that insists on starting Favre? Who does he think he is, Jerry or somebody?

As sad as that is.

The way the Vikings have been handling things, my money is on announcing Zorn as the new HC. Big money. They'll send the whole cheerleading squad to get him off his Barcalounger and return to the game.

Sad, but true. If nothing else, though, having TJack come out and stink the place up would at least prove that once and for all.

They'll likely have to trot him out at some point. There are those who still think he could be the future. Of course, those folks also believe in the flat Earth, alchemy and the Greek gods.

I can hear it now..."down goes Frazier...down goes Frazier".

They'll be the laughing stock the rest of the season as long as Favre is here. Then in 2011: Lions are #1 again.

Ain't it great, Count, just sittin' up here in football heaven with our Pats and Packers, looking down on all this crap?

What fools these mortals be.
