08:26 AM ET 11.24 | After nearly a month off, Henrik Karlsson is about to warm up for his rendition of a redemption song. During those 27 days, Karlsson has thought about every goal he allowed in a 6-5 loss on Oct. 28 to the Colorado Avalanche. ... If Flames coach Brent Sutter sticks to his original game plan, Karlsson is expected to get the call Wednesday night as Calgary visits the New Jersey Devils. Karlsson can't wait to expunge that Colorado memory from his brain.

Gonna have to find out sooner or later if this guy can play...

if Sutter thinks too hard does steam come out his ears?

What a travesty this team is turning into. They could sure use a break though (and I don't mean one of Sutter's bones). Maybe this kid could step up and be a good enough goaltender that he could allow the Flames to shop Kipper and trigger a true rebuild - a rebuild everyone not named Sutter can see this organization needs.

Karlsson can't wait to expunge the Colorado memory from his brain.

If he needs a feel good warm fuzzy memory starting against the Devils should do it.

"... If Flames coach Brent Sutter sticks to his original game plan, Karlsson is expected to get the call Wednesday night"

If Brent Sutter sticks to his original game plan, Karlsson can expect many more 6 plus goals against nights.

Don't forget Slats' "rock, paper, scissors" approach. Or Lowe's "one potato, two potato." Or Burkie's "when I wish upon a star."

This guy is in a no win situation. In Calgary Kipper can give up 4 goals and no one peeps-nameless back up whoever gives up 4 and the guy is labelled crap.It is both funny and absurd to hear and observe that contradiction in the stands.Regardless-this guy, like the Oilers Backup i watched last nite are amazing in a bad way-They are monsters. When they go down on there knees there cannot be more then 15 % of the net open. They should have .969 save percentages. The league has allowed the nets to stay the same as these guys and the equip have grown beyond reasonable expectation. The only thing left to happen is for a team to hire a 300lb guy to wear this gear.

The devils are probably thinking the same thing. They just shout out the Caps, now they face a goalie who's been on the shelf for awhile and let 6 in his last time out. They are probably licking their chops. They get one past him early and they could get on a roll.

Starting your back up against the Devils. That's Jack Adams consideration there.

The post-season award that no coach wants to win. Jack Adams winners always end up getting fired shortly after winning.
