V.Y.'s bonus to send Fisher packing?

I think it's time for Tennessee to go in another direction...both head coach AND quarterback.

Definitely for head coach. The QB issue will likely resolve itself with that change.

V.Young needs to mature a bit. Though Fisher is a great coach, he made need a fresh start as well

Anyone who pays Young 4.25 million to simply make their roster needs their frickin head examined!

If they fire Fisher, it won't be long before he's got himself a new job. Here's hoping he lands in San Fran!

I admittedly haven't read the situation, but I believe its an offseason bonus. So he's safe on IR until the end of the 16th game, but that's it. IR doesn't carry over into the offseason, so he's as cuttable as anyone at that point.

A lot of teams around the league would put Fisher on their staff in a heartbeat, and his presence will show immediate results.

Fisher will be a hot commodity on the market. Dallas maybe? They certainly need an established dude with a temper to strike fear into some of the quitters on that team. Even if Big D doesn't come knocking, Carolina, San Francisco, Minnesota, Cincinnati (a great spot for him as he could return to a divison he knows very well..) or even Denver will make him a top priority.

You can stay at the dance too long! Fisher's been there quite a while. VY was a tremendous college QB but has been an average pro, held back by his lack of maturity. Owner Adams appears to be still enamored with VY's potential and thus still giving him his way. This will be resolved with Fisher's departure and the Titans settling into a losing football team.

Vince young has never lived up the billing and is terribly overrated. His starting record being so good only because Chris Johnson and the D have carried him the last two years. Vinces stats have always been mediocre and he doesn't get it. If tenn makes this awful call for an overrated qb, it will be a terrible blunder and who could they possibly get that would be better then fish while babying vy? The only thing that will male vy happy is his ol Texas coach. This is a joke and if the titans do this, they belong at the bottom of te barrel. It would be like Carolina choosing Jake delhomme over John fox last year.

Exactly but it will happen because Adams is never going to admit he made a mistake in insisting that the staff draft Young though it was unanamous among them that he was not NFL quarterback material. Fisher will never coach another game with Young as his quarterback after some of the things that were said to him in front of his team and the public display put on by Young with the fans that day. It is a screwed up deal and it will set the franchise back several years but it is exactly what is going to happen. Fisher will go to the Cowboys, a team that already has more talent than any team that he has ever had in Nashville or Houston and all of as sudden be a genious again.

Actually that was wrong to compare it to JD. Jake was a good qb before his surgery, and actually won playoff games so it's not the same. Really, has the owner completely lost his mind in tn?

They are going to lose a lot of fans over this issue if they run Fisher off over this situation. Young does not deserve to wear an NFL uniform and if you think he is bad now just wait til you empower him even further by keeping him over the guy that is in the right here.
