08:49 AM ET 11.27 | Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme will start Sunday against his former Panthers, coach Eric Mangini said. "Certainly I will be fired up to play, because I'm sitting back, watching the young kid (Colt McCoy) play, and he's pretty good,'' Delhomme said on a conference call with Carolina reporters. "So I'm like, 'Have I played my last down?' That can go through your head. The kid's playing well, and he is going to be the future of the Cleveland Browns. I understand that. So it's a great opportunity about it. I am excited about it, I will say that."

Either that or the saber rattling on the Korean peninsula has them all nervous...

Colt McCoy has been a surprise and played well. Delhomme has handled this well and it can't be easy to just sit there at the end of your career. If Hillis can stay healthy. and for pete's sake they get him some receivers, the turn around may not be that long.

I know people are not happy with Mangini, but one of the blasts on the Browns are how they change coaches like they are going out of style. Mangini has softened up this year, SOME results have finally showed up on the field and they won some games they shouldn't have with lackluster talent. Trust me, I would love to have Gruden. But then comes more rebuilding.

And at this point, consistency is the best course to take.
There is hope for the Browns - something sorely lacking for years.

Poor browns fans full of moves, almost and what could have been. A loyal fan base in a city that needs good entertainment, badly (and I am not just talking about the cav's, have you ever been to Cleveland?)
