Some Dolphins players were unhappy about the Patriots throwing with a big lead Sunday. ''Everyone was disappointed with the lack of respect,'' Chris Liwienski said. ``It's a kick in the teeth and lacked some class. Enough is enough.''

They need to quit whining and step up and play football! They all get paid to play this game, so if they get embarrassed, it's their own fault. No lead is too big in the NFL these days, as we've seen all too many times.

Here's me playing the smallest violin in the world.....

October 24, 2007  07:09 AM ET

Beat 'em next game, it's as simple as that.

October 24, 2007  07:16 AM ET

OMG - the Pats could have scored 80.........Dont whine if you cant even beat APP St.

October 24, 2007  07:25 AM ET

He's right, the Patriots are scum! The Patriots think that if they win all the games and score as many points as possible(even when the games out of reach ),then the average joe will forget about their cheating ways.Guess what losers.....I haven't forgotten that you're a bunch of worthless cheaters.I can't wait to see the Colts bring you down.

October 24, 2007  07:27 AM ET

the phins should stop worrying about what the pats did to them and pick up pretty ricky, to try and atleast save something for this season

October 24, 2007  07:41 AM ET

I think the Pats are going for the season records for points per game, point differential per game, etc. There's really no other reason to run up the score like that. Of course, there's always the "Eff Yu" touchdown...the Fins have embarassed NE several times over the last few seasons, especially in September/October.

And yes, the Dolphins are whiners. Get some real players and start winning. They need to replace the front office, then maybe they would have a chance to draft some actual talent. Peter King pointed out that the Fins have 0 players on their roster today of the 59 they've drafted/acquired between 1998 and 2003. Way to pick, guys. (NE has 9 players from that same time span, many of them starters.)

Beer-n-drums, are you serious? You are really on here defending them for losing? Why does it matter how many points they score? You're supposed to play till the whistle blows, plain and simple. In basketball, you never hear of teams running up the score. Blow-outs are a part of the game. Just don't be on the losing end if you don't want to be embarrased.

October 24, 2007  07:54 AM ET

The pats have had a big lead on almost every team they've played. So they are supposed to give Miami special treatment? The Dolphins need to do something with their organiziation they are a bunch of cry baby losers.

October 24, 2007  08:08 AM ET

Maybe Miami should have channeled all that anger into stopping the Pats from scoring.

Pats did the right thing. If they didn't score, the game is 42-21 with ~8-9 minutes left. Miami gets a quick score, it's 42-28. Onside kick or fumble recovery on the kickoff followed by another score, and it's 42-35 with lots of time left. Anything can happen. You can't leave points on the field if you want to win. Seriously, a stupid loss to Miami would bring them back to earth in the eyes of the other teams.

October 24, 2007  08:14 AM ET

If you don't want to lose, then get out there and start playing ball. I feel sorry for the Miami fans, but I've got no pity for the whiners that complain that NE ran up the score. That's the point of the game- SCORE. Apparently they showed up to play, Miami just showed up to get paid.

October 24, 2007  08:35 AM ET

The story only quotes one player, not multiple. The "story" FanNation is referring to is actually about two or three sentences, should you read the article. In any case, a plurality of players could be Liwienski, whom I've never heard of, and one other guy. Regardless, Jason Taylor doesn't agree:

"That's what you should do," said Taylor. "You shouldn't be conservative and sit back just because you have a lead. They ran their offense, and they took Tommy out for a while and put him back in because of the interception. But that's what the game is. If you don't want people to run the score up then stop them. I have no problem with it."

October 24, 2007  08:36 AM ET

"the average joe will forget about their cheating ways"

You seem average, very average, and you've not yet forgotten. You defeat your own point.

October 24, 2007  08:37 AM ET

The Pats did nothing wrong. I wish coach Gibbs would realize that 10 and 14 point leads aren't safe leads....not even in the 4th quarter.

October 24, 2007  08:40 AM ET

Belechik said he was worried about the lead he had at the end. His call, he could be right. He does not trust his defense to hold a 21 point lead in the fourth quarter obviously. They do give up some points and did blow a big lead in the champoionship game last year. He did the right thing for his team. The other team is on their own.

October 24, 2007  08:52 AM ET

Beer n drums, are you serious! The PATS will beat the Colts by 2 touchdowns. They barely lost to them last year in the AFC Championship Game with no receivers, now they are loaded with them as well as having Adalius Thomas on D. YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!

October 24, 2007  08:57 AM ET

Lack of class. Who'da thought.

isn't miami an nfl team just like the pats? or are they just the practice team that should be taken lightly. No team should be taken lightly, even if they are winless. That is always the mindset of a good football team. The pats obviously have their heads in the right place... a win is a win anyway no matter what the score is. So relax miami and score some more points if you want to retain some dignity.

i think they're just pissed off about the whole spygate situation but no lead is safe in the nfl, if cassel threw another int return for touchdown it's only a 2 possesion game in the middle of the 4th, it's their responsibility to keep the game close/win the game so don't complain if u can't do that
