11:13 AM ET 11.28 | Peter Forsberg refuses to retire. Despite battling a right foot injury that has hampered him for years, the 37-year-old started skating in Sweden this week. And while his agent downplayed the news, Forsberg refuses to throw in the towel. "He was telling me that journalists there want him to say he's done," said agent Don Baizley who dined with Forsberg in Stockholm last week. "But as he said to me, 'why would I have to say that at this time? Why can't I just say nothing's happening now and there's nothing imminent?" Baizley said Forsberg is still battling the same foot issues that saw him pay his last NHL game in 2007/08. "The way his career finished up because of his foot was frustrating, so he's going to keep working on that. To start speculating now about if is he coming back' I don't know if it's ever going to happen."

I'll believe Foppa's coming back when I see him on the ice. Until then, don't write that story! (Why, yes, I _am_ from Missouri... why do you ask?) ;-)

November 28, 2010  03:24 PM ET

It's now official. Peter Forsberg is the only player in the world who has more comeback attempts than games played.

November 28, 2010  04:25 PM ET

It's over, bro. Give it up.

Thrash win their 5th straight don't hear any complaints about Byfuglein's move back to defense anymore

I never complained to begin with....at least I don't recall complaining. This guy is a big heavy ****, and whether on D, or up front in front of the opposing goalie, you will always get your money's worth!

I'm happy that Atalanta is doing better, and that is the only one out of the 3-4 teams that are having trouble that I am happy for.

It was the previous GM, that ruined this team, and even a chance to advertise a decent product to get interest in the beginning. Kovie did to the Thrashers, exactly what he'll do for the Devils. He'll wait till they lose enough, and then start filling the net once it doesn't really matter,as he has played in how many games in the playoffs before he came to NJ???

Big Buff is a better hockey player than Kovie! A jump maybe, but on paper, who is worth more to their team right now? A guy who can score, really check, is solid in front of the net, can make end to end rushes at 245lbs......or Kovie the 100 million dollar flop? He hasn't put up consistent #'s, and he plays like the puck is always his(he is getting a bit better). He has never been a real team player, now that's not to say that in the locker room he can't have a profound effect(look at the Geno-A.O incident), but on the ice, he waits till a 3rd of the way through normally, so what's he going to do with a team that hasn't got a fellow MotherRussian on the team, to make each other look good?

NJ should have let him go and break nice easy records in the KHL, where you can be a one man team, and get way with it!

Again. I am sorry, but I feel bad for the players, and fans in NJ right now, as this was a BIG mistake, unless by some miracle they turn it around. I see my Leafs doing better, and that says a lot!!!

You ruin that nice post with delusions that your Leafs are better than the Devils well they are almost better than 1/2 the rosters of New Jersey and Albany Devils. When the Devils get healthy they will leaf (like that one k-aaa) the Leafs in their dust

November 28, 2010  09:37 PM ET

Maybe Russia, where he can drive home after the game. They seem to love the old retreads

Maybe, but at least they were projected to do big things, it wouldn't surprise me, but if the Leafs do anything at all, people will be surprised. I just hope that NJ doesn't think that it is all due to injury, as it's not, but I'll give em this, the last few games they have played a LOT better.

Nice one Swamp!! Nice! LOL
