But it was not until Sunday night that Warrick started in his place after 16 games of Hedo Turkoglu starting there. ... Turkoglu had a scoreless, foul-marred start Friday to give him his lowest scoring average (9.9) in seven seasons. "It's nothing against Hedo," Alvin Gentry said. "His attitude is tremendous. He's down because he feels like he's not doing enough to help. I just have to put him in a position so that he can feel like he's helping our team."

Yup, nobody in PHX liked the deal. It all was very interesting to see his ex-agent suddenly become our GM and trade for his terrible contract. He would've fit in 5 years ago on this team, but now he is just helping create a larger logjam at the swing positions.

Would love to see a study on performance/stats pre and post-new contract. All sports. NFL would be those with guaranteed $$. Someday the market may factor that phenomena into the next contract salary negotiations, particularly when a player's stats spike the last year of the current deal.
