Meyer unaware of McCarney departure

Once again the media is breaking a story way too early in an attempt to scoop its competition. Meanwhile, said story is going to cause division in the locker room and a lot of hurt feelings all around, and generally make the coach look like the bad guy.

I am starting to wonder if we are seeing FL crumble. I am not trying to stir the pot but wonder if Meyer's offense will ever work without a super elite dual threat QB. Are we seeing the rats jump off the ship?

Well, they have quite a stud QB coming in that is a dual threat. Obviously high school success doesn't always translate to college success. I would expect Meyer to make some big changes this off season. They lost a ton of talent so I think it is a little early to start writing their obituary considering they are 7-5.

This is like the movie Groundhog Day all over again, all over again, all over again....

I think you can win there. Great area for recruiting, etc. Todd Dodge was a disaster, way over his head, and should have never been hired. He needed to stay in high school. Gus Malzahn he is not.

As much as it would delight me to see that happen to such a stellar human being as Urban Meyer, I doubt it. It simply looks like a coach trying to move up in the world.

Just because Meyer says something at a press conference does not necessarily make it so. Thank goodness that this season is over.

Did Alex Smith run as much as Tebow when Meyer coached him at Utah?

It seemed he was more known for his passing than running.

Same with Chris Leak.

Not like Meyer only started winning once he recruited Tebow... he gained his first notoriety coaching Utah and help Smith be a first round draft pick.

McCarney has done a great job in the past with developing the D-line. If this is true, I wish him well.
