08:02 AM ET 12.01 | Citing "due diligence," the Vikings have included L.A. in their search for a new stadium venue. The Vikings have been approached by two different groups in Los Angeles that are looking for an NFL team to relocate to the city, according to Vikings vice president of public affairs Lester Bagley. Bagley revealed this information on Tuesday during a chat he conducted on the Vikings website that focused on the team's attempt to get a new stadium approved during the 2011 legislative session.

Smoke & mirrors. They will get a stadium approved in MN in the 2011 session.

Citing "due diligence", the Vikings have included L.A. in their search for a new stadium venue...

That isn't "due diligence" - it's just the natural order of things.

And Bolio is right - this is posturing.

More posturing. Nothing new here.

...particularly the picture of Favre...

Chatoic, dysfunctional and delusional leadership aptly describes both California and the Vikings. It is a match made in heaven.

What a great time to ask the taxpayers to pitch in.

December 1, 2010  08:36 AM ET

Can you imagine that the end of the Vikings in Minnesota could be the "Crying Brett" era?

What a way to go out...

December 1, 2010  08:43 AM ET

I would rather have the Rams come back to LA than the Vikings.

December 1, 2010  08:46 AM ET

I can't see the taxpayers coming up with what amounts to a bailout for Zygy Wilf. Like, why? If he can afford to own an NFL team, he can afford the new stadium. The Cowboys and Patriots have new stadiums, with no public financing.

If he can't afford to buy the stadium, and insists he can't go on without it, well, it's time to sell the team. If they end up in LA, well, so be it.

They HAVE to move to LA. It's too good a story line to pass up. Hollywood Brett in La La Land. And, if he retires from football, there's always the **** industry....

How about we move the Spam to LA and keep the Vikings in Minnesota? How's that lift your facelift bar, huh?

December 1, 2010  09:04 AM ET

DROWNING IN A SEA OF SPAM. Why can't the spam automatically disappear the same way if I type ****???

They have perfected the "naughty word" filter, but can't seem to keep thousands of spammers out.

Look how getting out of Minnesota worked for the Lakers.

December 1, 2010  09:13 AM ET

Oh yes, the hostage saga begins. "give us what we want or we'll move the team!".

And they do it every time the stadium bill comes up. kind of like the boy who called wolf. (good morning 50.)

Yet another owner holds the home city hostage with a threat of LA. If a team ever did actually move to LA, how would team owners ever get the hometown taxpayers to bend over?
