08:21 AM ET 12.03 | A coach's future in Los Angeles may rest on UCLA-USC. What you may not know is that this coach is USC's Lane Kiffin. "I would say that is a fair assessment," Kiffin said. The embattled Bruin Rick Neuheisel? For now, his future is a non-issue. He has an athletic director who hired him and is wedded to him for at least two more years. He has boosters who like his enthusiasm and are busy directing their anger toward his coordinators. He has an undermanned team that is not supposed to win. Lane Kiffin has none of these things.

You might want to add Les Miles, Mike & Bob Stoops and, oh crap, there are too many to list!!!

I seriously doubt little boy Kiffin is going to be let go after 1 year. I know it is a new AD but still. That would be to quick and drastic (and funny).

Saw the headline, figured they were talking about the Clippers...........

DC, IMO the game doesn't/isn't going to mean crap, but it is always fun to watch. USC will keep Lane around for at least two more years. If Barkley can play, then the Trojans will win by at least two toughdowns. Just my opinion.

He's old. He gets up at 4 a.m. for breakfast. Has lunch at 10 am and dinner by 4 pm. Bedtime is 6 pm sharp. Unless Luby's is having an special on dinner and then he hits the 5 pm blue plate special, bags a little extra for take home and then hits the hey by 8 pm. It screws up his internal clock but its well worth the savings.

FJJ, damn, it's amazing how accurate you are!!! LOL.

Careful there FJJ, you are hitting too close to home. That sounds a lot like my schedule...except there isn't a Luby's in my oil patch town. We don't have any fine dining establishments like Luby's.

They aren't paid to try and have opposing fans like them. They are paid to win and fill the seats in their stadiums.

This has to be just a rumor. Surely they give him AT LEAST another year, probably two.

Why would it take more than a year to understand that this guy is in way over his head. No way that team has a 5 or 6 loss season with that talent with a real coach. He has been a fraud every where he has been. Next stop: Peewee football.
