Sampson to commit to Gophers
Don't be surprised if 6-foot-11 Ralph Sampson III of Duluth (Ga.) Northview High School commits to the Gophers within 48 hours. If that happens, coach Tubby Smith's inaugural recruiting class at Minnesota could jump into the top 10 nationally.

Soft like his old man? You mean the old man who was 3 time player of the year in the NCAA? Or the old man who was rookie of the year in the NBA? Or the old man who took the Rockets to their first ever NBA finals along with Hakeem? He was not soft, his knees shortened what would've been a pretty good pro career.

Tubby's getting better results, on paper, than I'd expected. The proof of this particular pudding will be in how the team is playing in two years, of course, but they certainly have to be better than under Monson.

Leave Tubby alone! He is doing a great job and will continue to make the university proud. They have no where to go but up. Tubby just let the stupid UK fans run him off. He did a great job but unreal expectatins can do any one in.
