Gagne may return to Rangers

It wouldn't be surprising if Eric Gagne is showing off his World Series ring in Arlington next year. Rangers manager Ron Washington has said that despite C.J. Wilson's late-season success, he'd still like to have an experienced closer in his bullpen. Gagne and Wilson got along famously. When Gagne left, Wilson wore his pants baggy and even wore the same long sleeve that Gagne wore.

I'd like to see him back in Texas. He played well for us ,but apparently not too well for Boston to consider signing him back.

Amazing how he will get a WS ring for ... um, what did he do FOR the Sox again ... ?

October 25, 2007  08:52 AM ET

Sorry Sox, he comes with a no return policy

October 25, 2007  09:04 AM ET

Just as long as we can have Gabbard back.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!

Works for me. He can come back cheap now and should fit back in nicely out of the east coast spotlight. I love all that nice talent the Rangers got for renting him out for the end of the season. Too bad the Rangers didn't include Gagne's correct vision prescription along with the deal.

Hey, you all come back ag'in next trade deadline, Sox. We'll do this trade again and get some more of your talent. Let's start planning now. Beckett for Gagne, straight up. What do you say?

October 25, 2007  09:11 AM ET

If he gets a ring it should be raffled off to one lucky Red Sox fan. He can't honestly walk around showing that off or bragging about it. Well without getting laughed at that is.

It would appear most red sox fans are sleeping in after last night.....

Good bye Gagne, didn't work out in Boston. Go play for the Yankees. Blow some games for them.

October 25, 2007  09:41 AM ET

Yawn...

October 25, 2007  09:54 AM ET

There is joy in Cambridge this morning for Beckett lovers, whether Josh or Samuel.

October 25, 2007  10:22 AM ET

Gagne is done.

Joy throughout RSN.
Colorado looks very rusty. I thought they had a good bullpen.
