Iverson injured in practice

10:03 AM ET 10.25 | Add another name to the list of Nuggets players who are attempting to discard nagging injuries by the season opener. Guard Allen Iverson was injured in practice Wednesday, suffering a left quadriceps contusion when he collided with center Steven Hunter. The initial prognosis on Iverson is day to day, but the injury might shelve him for a preseason game tonight at Phoenix. It also lengthens a Nuggets infirmary report that includes big men Kenyon Martin, Nene, Marcus Camby and Eduardo Najera and point guard Chucky Atkins.
