Leach a fit for Texas?

08:21 AM ET 12.08 | Mack Brown sure could make a splash with Mike Leach as Texas' next offensive coordinator. There simply is no down side. The first thing it would do is re-energize Longhorn Nation, including the blue-chip recruits who might be rethinking their commitments in the wake of a 5-7 season and the uncertainty following Brown's decision to overhaul his offensive coaching staff. Brown would be telling those kids Texas is going to have the best and most entertaining football team in the land with Leach coaching one side of the ball and Will Muschamp the other. Best team in America, right? If not the best, certainly the most interesting.

It would be a way to stick it to Texas Tech too.

Also, I doubt any recruits are rethinking their commitment after one bad season. They're probably happy with the opportunity to play early on a team that will almost certainly bounce back.

Leach would be interesting but I see him as taking orders from no one. His personality seems to be that he needs to be the man.

I'm going with no.

I think this is a great idea.

Mike Leach must have urinated on someone's sandwitch because with his credentials he SHOULD have been hired by now. If Donald Trump can't get you in the door something is wrong.

Maybe they fed James Jr pee sandwiches in the shed?

Ok, now all I can think of is Clark Griswold, Aunt Edna and the sandwich scene in Vacation with Christy Brinkley............

BH is the target, Leach won't happen (but it would be interesting) and there's a chance MA may get his shot at OC. The more I learn about BH the more I like this guy.

I plead ignorance. Who are you talking about?

That was back in the day when Saturday Night Live was actually funny. I think I would watch New Zealand Sheep Heading than SNL now.

Can't remember the last time I watched SNL. I gave up on network programs, haven't watched any series for over 10 years.

Agreed and the Vacation movies are absolutely classic!

Agreed - there would be some head butting at TX.

I don't know why, but Leach in the PAC 10 at a Washington State or Arizona State seems like a fit.
