Georgia dismisses leading scorer
Losing Takais Brown doesn't mean Georgia's upcoming basketball season is lost. That was the word from Bulldogs' men's basketball coach Dennis Felton on the eve of dismissing Brown, the team's leading scorer and most proficient inside player, for an unspecified violation of team rules. It's NOT a significant blow in that the guys that are going to be here playing for us are the ones that obviously we can rely on because they're willing to do all the things that go into being a part of this team and being a Georgia Bulldog," said Felton. Felton remained mum on the reason or nature of Brown's dismissal other than to say it was for "violating team policy".

Just like the deal with Aaron Brooks.
The racists are going to come down on these young men that just need some guidance and help in their young worlds.
Kick him off the team and disgrace him.....the coach should be fired for allowing the boy to fail at what the coach should be helping him achieve the most at.
FOR REAL.
Go ahead ruin his life. He's just a kid !!!!
A freaking kid. You are ruining his life.
Can't you help the young man. Instead of kicking him when he is down and depressed.
We all witnessed it happening at the school.
You should be ashamed of yourself for letting it get to this point. You gotta show some power ???

Crapola. He was a good player.
C'mon Steven, you act like he's a 5 year old ADHD kid. The guy is a senior, so he's about 22 years old. I know 22 is not 66, but he's still old enough to make his own decisions. He can legally drink if he wanted to. The guy is more than legal.
He made a bad choice, so now he is going to have to face the repurcussions of his bad choice. It's not his coach's fault that he made the bad choice to do something that could get him kicked off of the team and got caught doing it. More people would suffer than just Takais if the NCAA found out what he did and UGA done nothing about it. Brown was already suspended b/c he didn't go to class. It doesn't get any easier than that: go to class (you don't have to get great grades, just pass the dang ol' class), play basketball, and get a free ride to the NBA or a degree.
If the kid needed help, he should've gone to counselling or gotten therapy. Denis Felton is black himself, so don't blame this on the racists. We don't even know what he did. If all you look for is racism, then that's all you're ever going to find even if it's not there. How is it the racists' fault if the guy didn't go to class or made a poor decision.
Life goes on, man. He may play in the NBA or somewhere else.
You should try pointing the finger at yourself more and at other people less.

Felton is a hard nosed coach that demands a lot from his players. I had a friend that played for him at Western Kentucky. Felton is a class act. He does not compromise principles for winning and that is respectable. Too many of these 'kids' behave like they are owed something. Kick his irresponsible tail to the curb.

That coach has got Kahunas the size of basketballs. He's going to catch all kinds of hell. I respect him for running a tough program. The kid will catch on somewhere if he's as good as y'all say. His life ain't ruined.
