Will Dolphins dump Ricky or Ronnie?

09:41 AM ET 12.12 | The sentiment around the team is Miami is likely to re-sign perhaps one of its top two backs, but not both, barring a scintillating finish from both. Ricky Williams has the better per-carry average (4.5 to 3.8) and would be cheaper than Ronnie Brown. Miami knows it must add speed and explosiveness.

Draft a RB and dump both.

Keep Williams, dump Brown and draft Ingram... RB problem solved.

Might better check Rickys pockets for some ganja before you trade Ronnie, You know what a horses *** Goodell can be.

Not to mention that Ricky is in the twilight of his career, even if he can keep saying "NO"

Seems to me RB isn't the biggest concern for the Fish.

The current thinking in the NFL is that there is not a lot of separation between first-round running backs (like Ingram) and RBs that can be picked up in the lower rounds for a lot less in salary. Miami needs to decide on its QB situation first. Brown would potentially bring more in a trade, and Williams could share the carries with a rookie draft pick.

Brown has had all season to prove he's an NFL starter and has come up short. Williams comes cheaper, and gets the yardage even though Brown gets the lion's share of carries. Any questions, Miami?

Which one liked the play the best. Keep the most 'artsy' one. That seems to be the central theme in Miami.

An actual passing game would probably improve the running game. They might be a little aged but its not as if Brown and Williams are a couple of schleps. On a side note did fan nation get blanketed in snow? Only one new thread this morning. Is their headquarters located on the top of the Metrodome?

Ricky is a little old.

December 12, 2010  11:07 AM ET

Neither one of them has done much this year. Keep the cheapest one and go hunting.

Yeah. Worse than black and gold.

"dump Brown and draft Ingram"

Replacing an Auburn alum with an Alabama one, oh the irony...

While Ricky is in fine shape expanding his current role would not be prudent, better have their sights set on a youngster.

Also should be remembered that Brown is the vastly superior pass catcher, Ricky's little bitty hands are bricks
