11:17 AM ET 12.12 | It still seems the Vikings' best bet for next season is to try to trade with Philadelphia for backup QB Kevin Kolb. But without a third-round draft pick they gave New England for buffoon Randy Moss, that will be difficult.

They will take him.

Buffoon is a word not used much anymore. I was happy to see it used to describe Randy Moss.

3rd round pick? Eagles would ask for more than that anyway.

Say what you will about Kolb's worth, Eagles don't trade easy.

Who's "Sam Jack"? I think the league out to rescind all of this season's deals for Moss, given the way he's worked out.

Or better said, they don't trade cheap.

Eagles won't trade Kolb unless they get a #1 pick. Vick could get hurt, so need a good back-up plan

Weren't they asking for two first rounders last year? Doubt that changed much, if at all. Kolb played about as well as everyone expected him too and although the Eagles now have another (better) option in Vick, they still like Kolb and would love to keep him as insurance. Not to mention that there will probably be more than one team interested in Kolb.

KK oughta go to Dallas. He grew up 60 miles away, played college in Houston, and he's better than either of the 2 guys in Dallas now, I forget what their names are.

Oh my how the mighty have fallen. I can remember way back a year ago and that same baffoon was a god to some of the same journalist. I think when a journalist writes about a player he should be required to include a link to every article he/she has ever written about that player. Me, I've always thought Moss was an ****.

If I were Jackson I'd be thinking I have the best job in the world! I dont have to do anything. The team I'm on is just going to get somene else to start.. I can stay on this team FOREVER as the backup! no pressure there... I might play till i'm 65 then retire..

December 12, 2010  01:11 PM ET

On the other side of that coin.. If i'm Jackson, i'm thinking GET ME OUT OF HERE! i'll NEVER start no matter WHAT i do.. SAGE ROSENTHAL was higher on the depth chart than me and he SUCKS!

Buffoon Lol.
It really does not matter as the Bears, Packers, and Lions will be good for years to come. Minny's time to **** up

Hmmm? Kolb has only one year left on his contract at a guaranteed 12+ million next year. Only way a team gives up a first rounder is a sign and trade, and how much do you give to a guy with a handful of starts. Not much of a resume for a guy who has never played a full season in total. I can see a two pick.
they can ask though, it only takes one to say yes.

December 12, 2010  02:54 PM ET

The market would be around the 2 2nd round picks Hou paid Atl for Schaub.

December 12, 2010  03:05 PM ET

Here's a second round pick.. AND we'll throw in Jackson. He's useless anyway.

Kolb was a two pick in his draft. Too good of an insurance policy, not good enough to start... The Iggles would have to get a high #2 or a low #1 to let him go.

Agreed..... 2-second round picks would do it....

Kolb is owed 1+ million next year not 12 million bafoon. He is an extremely cheap option for the Eagles to keep as an insurance policy. Trade talks start with 2 2nds or 1st and 3rd.
