Good more for the Knicks. Anytime you can add talent... do it.

Dumb rumor Mayo at $5.57m, and next year $7m which would mess up the salary CAP in NY for getting Melo as a FA ...

oh, Wait.... it's Mayo ...not Melo.... coming to NYk ;)

That is what NY has been saying for three years about.... LeBron, and how did that work out? I never herd anyone say LeBron was going to Miami until about 5 days before it happened. If I was NY I would get an upgrade with young talent if I could. Weather they start OJ or he is just part of the three man rotation in the back court I say get him. You can still trade away enough salary to offer Anthony a large contract. And if Anthony really wants to be in NY he won't balk at a LeBron or Bosh type deal if it means you can keep the current Knicks roster plus OJ.

Let's start a topic on who is NOT going to the Knicks

December 12, 2010  01:35 PM ET

I'll support that as well. Mayo needs to get out of Rudy's shadow, he can be more of a presence on any other team.

F mayo , we have scorers, we need BIGS.I'll take gasol

come on now, i don't know what NY is proposing to give up to get him but ya don't pass on that caliber of player when the asking price is probably cheap. He's better than anyone outside of Amare and maybe Felton currently on the knicks roster imo

It depends on who we're getting and there gotta be a Melo deal on the table else messing up our cap flexibility will be very stupid. But I do understand where Donnie is coming from as nobody knows what the new CBA will bring. If you get a chance to get talent you do it right away. And lets face it we do not have a decent shooting guard. OJ solves that problem. We have bigs, we just need to develop em and get a banger later.

Took out the Nuggets today in a shootout. Still not enough to say they are for real, but damn they are looking like they are really having fun playing right now.
