08:04 AM ET 12.14 | Two weeks and nine points later, the Jets' offense is playing a whole new ballgame down the stretch -- trying to get out of its own way. All of which makes you wonder if Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer isn't working to keep his job these last three weeks of the regular season ... Rex Ryan eventually said Schottenheimer "does a heckuva job" when asked directly about his offensive coordinator's job performance. But it felt like lip service.

Maybe they should get Shottenheimer a QB....

Good idea...

Ryan eventually said Schottenheimer "does a heckuva job". Translation...have your resume ready Brian.

If this was going on in small market, we wouldn't have to read about this non-story. A coach on the hot seat? Wow, that's crazy! He must be the only one this has happen to in YEARS!

UGG BOOT

Yeah, I say "Ugg" and I want to boot when I see the same picture of Rex two days in a row.

Other teams have looked at the Jets game films and figured them out. Offenses have to keep coming up with new plays, and new twists on old plays, or the defenses will eat their lunch. And Rex doesn't like it when someone eats his lunch.

See you next year Jets, they aren't gonna make it past wild card weekend if they make it that far.

Jets and qb is an oxymoron.

When a coach has to make a block that is not a good sign.

I "guess" they make the playoffs... but they aren't exactly peaking right now.

The Pats let all the air out of the tires on the Rex Ryan Super Bowl bus.

That strength coach should've gotten his arse whupped for tripping that defenseless Dolphins player. Typical punk move from an old bald dude. I would've gone Austin 3:16 all over that punk had I been the one that was tripped.

That's gotta be a lot of air. Can you imagine the shocks on that bus?

It wasn't a bus. Just a big green balloon full of hot air.

More like a tackle, Woody Hayes style.
