Depressed Isiah gets emotional

07:50 AM ET 10.28 | Isiah Thomas had been in a morbid mood with the press the past week and portions of preseason. He had put up a wall because of the media's portrayal of the trial, the boos from the fans, the threats from Commissioner David Stern, the proposed boycott of the Rev. Al Sharpton, and the recent rip job by Rutgers women's coach C. Vivian Stringer, whom he spoke to yesterday and received an apology. Yesterday, however, he became emotional when he finally addressed his aberrant behavior, his voice cracking at times. "You ask why I've been the way I've been the last [few] days, I'm not angry," Thomas said. "I think I've been through a terrible ordeal with my family and I was falsely accused and wrongfully found liable. That's how I feel." Anybody around Thomas in his nearly five years in New York never has seen him this morose.

It might be time to leave the brights lights of the big city Zeke.

Looks like he is gonna kill himself.

There's few people that I'd like to see broken down, and Isiah "The NBA's Anus" Thomas tops that list. I've never heard a good word about him off the court (I have all the respect in the world for his game), and he helps destroy every team he's a part of. People like this should be sent to an island with their money never to be heard from again.

Well...he's gone thru helll.

Most brothers....do not realize their agressiveness to the ladies....and I mean just "simple" flirting....oh, you look nice....that types of deal. NO DISRESPECT. It is just a more aggressive deal than say - white dudes. In most cases, in general.

For whatever reason....that is just the way it is....or appears to me and again....I am down with it....I was bussed to a school before it was abolished here in Jville.

Blacks are more tempermental....passionate....which to me is sweet and real. Okay.

he may not realize what he has done and what it has cost....now OR in the long run. That was a big lawsuit....a big hit....on him....IF not his pocket. His pride.

Everyone knows somthing that is - IN HIS HEAD....at the moment and trust me...."it's" in his head - right now.

I'm not buying it. The only thing Isiah is remorseful about, is getting exposed. If he's sorry, then APOLOGIZE. Until then tell it to someone else.

I worry about the Knicks with Isiah as the coach. Getting ripped by the media for all his bad moves and his past. Then this sexual harrasment trial so he can get ripped some more. Booed by the home crowd Knick players probably don't respect him anymore and tune him out.

It also sounds like he's ready to put in his resignation which I think would be a noble thing to do. The Knick organization needs some new blood they have decent talent on the court no reason to be so bad.

The Knicks are gonna be a suprise team this year jusy watch!!!

October 28, 2007  09:33 PM ET

Ahhh, poor Isiah. His classless and pathetic ways have finally caught up with him. Shucks. Now, if he could stop ruining the Knicks, life would almost be worth living again, eh Zeke?

October 29, 2007  12:51 PM ET

I'd say I feel bad for him, but I'd be lying. Isiah is getting exactly what he deserves as is the organization.

October 29, 2007  02:00 PM ET

Doesn't matter what he does. Knicks could go 0-20 and Dolan would give him a reach around of support.

October 29, 2007  03:28 PM ET

The guy is a joke c'mon! Fire him and get on with life!

October 29, 2007  04:58 PM ET

We are on the clock. The Knicks today are a number 4 or 5 team in the Eastern conference. KG said the Knicks have the best 4,5 in the league. KG said people on the east coast didn???t see and don???t know what Zach can do.

This is a well respected play. Normally you would listen to him, but Knick haters, because it???s the Knicks, no one is writing or talking about.

We will see next week.

If the Knicks go 0-20 Dolan will fire Isiah. However, it is more likely the Knicks will go 12 - 8. Then what!
