08:42 AM ET 12.15 | If you tuned in to Hard Knocks for the cursing, you should, according to an HBO senior producer, tune in for 24/7 Penguins/Capitals: Road to the Winter Classic. "I would say this show has more vulgarity than [the Hard Knocks] show. And I'm not just saying that to get you to watch. I'm saying it because there's a reason: This is the regular season. This isn't preseason. And what the Capitals in particular are going through, and what [Bruce] Boudreau is like, have all merged to be a show that [for] the nighttime version, you're going to have to hide the kids."

Grown men swearing? Who'd a thunk it? And have they ever watched Dexter?

December 15, 2010  09:23 AM ET

never #$##$**& expected *&$%### hockey players to have &*%$##@@ potty mouths!

December 15, 2010  09:23 AM ET

its like MadLibs!

December 15, 2010  09:24 AM ET

Are the cameras still around? Last night would have provided them with some good vulgarities.

December 15, 2010  09:33 AM ET

good thing too, because Hockey needs something in common with the NFL

December 15, 2010  09:36 AM ET

Maybe they'll have Talbot sit down and try to identify his kids by name and age.

I don't understand why the refs didn't call anything in the 1st then called every little ticky tacky penatly for both sides in the 2nd. It ruined the flow of the game. They've let games get out of hand b/w these two teams but it seemed both were too focused on winning to let their traditional rivalry goonery get in the way.
Still though it's funny Malkin finally shows up for a game but the D blows it letting all those rebounds lay out in the crease.

Just make sure the wives and girlfriends don't see the footage of the team puck...Or was that team bike?

I don't think the D blew it at all.

I think Malkin acting like the typical **** he can act like...blew it. So someone pushed Crosby down? Crosby can and has handle himself. So, Malkin pushes the guy down, gets the interference call, sits in the box (as usual), and we have to defend yet another PP. And it is one they end up scoring on us. Malkin was the only scorer last night, yes, but he also costed us... If they hadn't scored that goal...who knows? It was just stupid on his part. Stupid.

Fleury was amazing.

Philly played great. Give credit where credit is due.

I didn't know that the people the "represent the lollipop Guild" could swear. I guess Boudreau will have to turn in his Munchkin card!!

They did and it was a good game...props to the Flyboys. Still don't have a major problem with what Geno did, this wasn't the Playoffs afterall. Glad he got right back into things with the 2 goals and that Sid kept his streak alive even though we lost.

There's going to be a lot of cursing at NBC, too, if the Caps don't pick up their play.

December 15, 2010  10:35 AM ET

Great game last night. Good back and forth all game. I'm glad the Flyers won, but their powerplay worries me. The second to last one they had it seemed like they were afraid to take a shot. Everyone looked so tentative. Still, good win against a top team. Nice to see.

Now, Crosby may not suck, but that moustache! Oh, my goodness that has to go ;)

I guess these "producers" have never been around pro athletes much. I wonder what'd they say about football or basketball or baseball players! Well .... never mind baseball players. They're too busy imitating ducks with diarrhea to be able to say anything meaningful, even with four letters.

If it wasn't for Malkin and MAF your team probably would've been blown out last night. Don't be too hard on him. Haha, i said hard on. anyway...

I almost had an effing stroke last night with like 2 minutes and change left in the game, Powe shoulders MAF for a intereference call (bad penalty to take at the end of the game), then Orpik skates over and obliterates him, no call. Big surprise there.

For what it's worth it was a heck of a game. Faceoffs were about even. Hits were about even. Both goalies played well enough to win. Another fine chapter in the battle for PA.

Definitely a tough penalty for Malkin to take especially since the hit on Crosby was nothing big.

I kind of look at Zherdev in the same way as you are talking about Malkin. I'm not comparing talent level, but Zherdev is driving me crazy. He makes some great plays and his goal was a fine display of patience. But, does he ever give up the puck alot. He easily could have cost us the game with his giveaways. It's just maddening.

I don't think your PP is that bad at all.

Fleury just had one of his best games, and our PK is rockin (thank Gawd).

The stache isn't going anywhere til his personal point streak is broken. So...

Never easy to admit it was a great game when your team gets beat.

Props to you!

I wasn't too upset with Powe. He was trying to time his move to the net and Richards, I think, crossed him up a bit by hesitating on the shot. By that time, it was too late for Powe to adjust. And, Orpik's hit wasn't really a big deal. I could see a penalty being called but not surprised it wasn't as he was more or less sticking up for his goalie.
