Three teams on Glavine's list?

Besides, the Mets, sounds as if the Braves will expend more effort this year to bring Tom Glavine back. Glavine knows Nationals president Stan Kasten well from their Braves days, D.C. is close to Atlanta and the Nats certainly would benefit from Glavine's experience.

He's not going to the Nationals...at least he shouldn't. This team shouldn't have extended Dmitri Young, the GM might be boneheaded enough to go after Glavine.

Ok possible destinations for Glavine: Cardinals, Nationals, Braves, Cubs.

I sure hope he doesn't go to the Cubs. He would get slaughtered in that ballpark. I think he should work out something with the Braves. They could use a durable fourth starter and he would probably take a bit of a pay cut to finish his career there.

What next? He may go to SD to play with Maddux? there really isn't much to back this up at all/ The Mets have been good to Glavine (as much as that pains me to say), and he loves the Braves. So his options are to sign to a team that does him good, or play in Atlanta where he did amazing things, and where his family is.

Braves,,, Cubs. I really dont see he Mets going after him again...they need to get younger in the rotation......DID YA HEAR THAT OMAR??!!!!!
YOUNGER!!!!!!!

You can still count 15 wins from him, plus, considering the benefits/influence young pitchers like Perez, Main, Humber, Smith or Pelfrey are getting by just having such a great arm around is undeniable. Glavine can school ya, and that's one of the reason why Omar likes to have him in his club house. The other reason is the attendance, he can still bring good numbers to the table. I agree Glavine, Hernadez and Pedro can't carry the team, they need a dominant arm to anchor the rotation.

not the New York Mets, we can move on. Especially if we get Johan!
I can dream.

October 29, 2007  11:10 AM ET

He's going home to Atlanta and all I can say is good riddance.

October 30, 2007  03:14 PM ET

I hope he signs with the Braves so the Mets can use him as batting practice.

I can only tell you one thing: THE DODGERS DONT WANT YOU EITHER MR 79 MPH FASTBALL WASHED UPPER!

Glavine going back to pitcher friendly Turner Field? If he does look for him to post a 15-18 wn season. He grew up in the Majors there. He thrives there. He will be coming home and greeted with open arms not a critical NY media, that alone will make him have a good year.

Hey, if Glavine wanted to come to the Nats, I got no problem. God knows we need pitching.
Oh, and B-Jesus...Dmitri Young signing on for 2 years here AIN'T a mistake!!! What are YOU smoking???
