Chevy will continue its partnership with Dale Earnhardt, Inc. in 2008 and beyond. "Chevy enjoyed a successful relationship, including six NASCAR Cup championships, with the legendary Dale Earnhardt behind the wheel of his Richard Childress Racing Chevy, and we're proud of our longstanding relationship with Dale Earnhardt, Inc. which extends all the way back to when Dale and Teresa Earnhardt founded the business," said Ed Peper, Chevy general manager. "We're pleased to be a part of the DEI family and look forward to continued success with one of racing's leading organizations."

Good for DEI and Chevy - Chevy will also supply DEI with engines from their minivans that are known for NOT BLOWING UP. This story makes me want to eat some apple pie and watch some baseball (whats left being just game 4).

This is a shocker. DEI staying with Chevy....

This is such a given thing, why it is even a story? Won't help DEI's image anyway.

I cannot believe Jr's luck at DEI....he finally has a engine that will finish the race and you never know, it would have been a close finish between him and Carl and JJ....and Jr's tire comes off, he crashes, 2 laps to go.....I just cannot believe the things that have been happening to him, car wise.

I felt bad for Jr. yesterday!! He has NO luck at all this year... I didn't see the post race intervues, did he handle it with class as he usually does..I saw him get out of the car and he didn't act PO'ed!!!

People can definitely stop saying that it's Junior's fault for his misgivings at the race track. Yesterday, he got his engine and had a fast car. Yes, he was a contender. SOMETHING BROKE? If I were him, I'd hang it up and take a nice long vacation!!!!!!!!!! At least he's going to a team with a proven record of having good solid cars. Hendrick was asked this weekend about DEI's engine problems. He admited that at one time Hendrick was having engine troubles and he got every single engineer, metalologist, etc. in one room and figured it out in one week. He doesn't understand what DEI's problem is. I figured they just don't care since it's Junior and he's leaving. This should be a great holiday season at the Earnhardt clan!!!
