Are Sparano and Ireland safe in Miami?

09:28 AM ET 12.19 | It's a question people are dropping their voices to ask, like a secret, the sound of water rumbling through a large pipe: Is Tony Sparano coaching for his job? So the lead domino, the one Ross has to be sure of, is whether general manager Jeff Ireland is the right man to pick his players. And if he's following the right blueprint. And if not him, whom? Ross didn't hire Ireland and Sparano. He inherited them. He's re-made the inherited stadium. He's re-made the inherited atmosphere at games.

Unless your head coach does whole bunch of stupid moves the couching carousel doesn't work. Look at the Browns from 1999 to 2008.

LOL! Like Dole *won't* be back. He's on here 16-18 hours a day, 7 days a week. He'll get over the hurt feelings from being 'moderated' and sign up again soon. Who has ever been banned that didn't come back? Multiple times?

And - if the Fish are stupid enough to let Ireland go, most Cowboys fans would take him back with open arms!

Yes we would. I still resent losing Sean Payton. I wanted him as HC.

With all of the lame duck coaches on the chopping block, Sparano is safe.

Considering the qb's they have gone through, they've done pretty well. I would rate him as safe.

So I guess the Tuna couldn't fix the Dolphins? I know there is a Dolphin safe Tuna joke in there somewhere.

Wade was supposed to be "Mr. Fix-it". That didn't turn out so well either.

Not to mention the unspectacular WRs. They HAVE built a Top 10 scoring defense, to their credit.
