08:28 AM ET 12.20 | Gene Chizik said over the weekend that senior safety Aairon Savage is probably out for the national championship game. Savage, who sat out last season due to injury, started the first seven games and recorded 37 tackles this year before breaking a bone in his ankle during the Tigers' 65-43 win over Arkansas on Oct. 16. The initial plan when Savage went down was to try to have him back in time for the bowl game. Chizik said that's looking unlikely.

This can't really be fixed with money either.

Would have been nice to have him back against that Duck attack. I guess 6'6" 250K will just have to outscore them.

Auburn will be fine unless Cam Newon is unable to play.

That being said... Go Ducks. First MNC game in school history for Oregon. From where I live, they're the closest thing to the local boys to get to a National Championship Game since way back in the 80's. Can't help but feel compelled to root for the new kids.

Auburn will miss Savage....he played well after getting back in game shape. Key to NC game will be defense, IMO....this injury will hurt 'em.

Auburn is known for comely coeds. Bomb this thread with pic evidence.

Not much to it...;)

Here's what I've learned so far...ND is the best team period, but will be even better next year. FLA and TX fans are still on suicide watch, Pac 10 is under-rated, Boise and Utah could beat the Pittsburg Steelers, the SEC has speed, and everyone in the SEC cheats.

Did I miss anything??

Oh yes definitely. Kids a stud. Said he hoped to have it done before he starts his senior season. We will see. That Tim Wright kid is real good too but his grades are an issue. I am sure there's a school out there that might make it work for him too.2012 is another big year for RB's in Tx though. Those two plus Trey Williams, Ladarius Anthony, Trent Jackson, Darik Dillard, Troy Green, Rashodrick Lindwood, Dennis Smith. Plus OOS you have Barry Sanders.Tx had 25 RB's commit to D1 schools this year. Crazy.

I saw the Pearland/Euless Trinity game the other night on tv. Man those guys were good. Great game.
