Sparano would support Henning return

08:07 AM ET 12.21 | Though Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano has not seen team owner Stephen Ross in some time, or received assurances about his own job status, the head coach was still willing to go to bat for Dan Henning, who many believe will retire after this season. But if Henning were to get a wild-hair idea about returning in 2011 after his unit finished 31st in the NFL in scoring (where it currently ranks), Sparano sounds like he'd be fine with that. "I think that Dan Henning, for Tony Sparano, has been tremendous," Sparano said, using the often fatal third-person reference to himself in his speech.

Oh no! First it's the sunglasses at night. Now he refers to himself in the third person. Either he's a Corey Hart fan or has way too big of an ego.

At this point... He would welcome my return..

Without his mentor in the picture, could be tough sailing for ol' Tony this offseason.

Tony, worry about your own return.

Loyalty, what a lost art.

That's good for Tony. Usually an endorsement by the owner is the kiss of death.

Another team where the coach is likely to take the heat even though the GM and owners don't give him anything to work with.

Sorry. Chad Pennington was the quarterback of the past, but Chad Henne is NOT the quarterback of the future. They blew cap space on a loudmouth wideout, too. Again, they're better off losing out the season to get a better draft position.

What's with the frickin sunglasses 24/7?

As a teenager, he worked in a fast food place and suffered an accident with the fryer and its grease. It splashed him in the face and eyes. Since then, he has developed a sensitivity to light, requiring the use of sunglasses.

What's with the frickin sunglasses 24/7?

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

Jake: Hit it.

Just for this reason SPorano should be fired, this coach is CLUELESS.

To bring back an OC who finished basically dead last in so many offesne catgeories is ridiculous, borderline MORONIC. Furthermore, these are all the same plays they called when the Fins won the division in '08, the Fins NEVER know how to adjust on and off the filed (meaning draft room or coach selection)
