10:08 AM ET 12.21 | Timing is everything, and Missouri is a beneficiary this time around. Monday night on Missouri Tiger Talk, play-by-play broadcaster Mike Kelly announced that point guard Michael Dixon Jr. will play against No. 21 Illinois on Wednesday night at Scottrade Center for the annual Braggin' Rights game. The end of the sophomore starter's suspension comes at good time for the Tigers as they were in need of a point guard after backup freshman Phil Pressey broke his finger in practice on Sunday. Dixon, who had been suspended since Dec. 15, missed games against Oral Roberts and Central Arkansas.

This is no suprise. Everyone knew when he was suspended indefinitely, that meant until the Illinois game. Missouri wouldn't ever chose discipline over trying to win a big game.
