07:59 AM ET 12.22 | Benched quarterback Donovan McNabb has some unfinished business, and he has told Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan he hopes to return to the team next season. "I don't want to go anywhere," McNabb said Tuesday in his first public comments since Shanahan benched him last week. But discussing the matter on his weekly radio appearance on ESPN 980, McNabb acknowledged that the decision isn't ultimately up to him, and he's not certain what Shanahan intends to do after the season.

McNabb might not want to leave DC, but Shanny might have a different idea. Too bad--at the beginning of the season, I thought this would work out fine.

In all seriousness, it kind of pisses me off to see these shots of McNabb on the sideline yawning and acting disinterested. Quit being a baby and be ready to play.

World peace. A better chance for that than him staying in DC.

In his defense, it's hard to stay interested watching Grossman play. Trust me, I've tried.

I see what you're saying. His performance on Sunday was a total surprise for me. I thought he would get yanked halfway through the game. I thought McNabb should have acted like he was ready to go. I want to see McNabb do well, but when he pulls out the pouty attitude on the sideline, it bugs me.

May be time to apply lessons learned in the Farve saga Donovan unless you are willing to hold a clipboard for a couple of years......

People need to remember who Grossman was playing against. He won't have that success against most other teams. There aren't many worse secondary's like Dallas puts on the field.

Agree with you that grown men shouldn't pout. And it worse because McNabb is a team captain. But I do think that his point is that he is willing to stick it out there, instead of demanding to be traded or cut.

Someone needs to drug test that fool. Even the grounds keeper would like to be out of Washington. There will be nothing worth sticking around for until Shannahan is gone.

Besides, we ALL know that the real Grossman will be on full display soon enough and Shanahan and Son will have eggs on their faces yet again. I just hope it doesn't happen this weekend against the Jags!
