06:00 AM ET 10.30 | Joe Torre and Don Mattingly parted ways with the Yankees this month, but they may stay together in a major league dugout next season. Two major league officials said yesterday that the Dodgers planned to fire Grady Little as their manager and replace him with Torre, who would make Mattingly a coach on his staff. Mattingly, 46, has ties to the Dodgers' organization through his son Preston, who was a first-round pick of the team in 2006. The Yankees asked Mattingly to stay with the organization, but he said no.
