NASCAR Hall of Fame bust or success?

First off: New Story YAY!

Second: Here we have a Hall of Fame currently occupied by 5 people. Do they really expect fans to be knocking down the doors for those five guys? I know there's other stuff there too, but still I don't see either France in the HoF bringing the people in.

yup, we had a big discussion on that. All the bickering about who made these first two classes if they would have considered "seeding" maybe 25, even 50, and make the attraction more of well, an attraction.

Do they play the old 'Thunder Road' movie there?

Yep....they need to add about 20 more people now that we've got the first 2 classes in. At least 10 drivers, and the other 10 you can split among innovators, owners, crew chiefs, etc.

Part of the reason of lower attendance is the lack of interest in the sport now. Here's a plan for success. Make today's sport more interesting. Part of that is to make the cars resemble what we drive on the streets. Get Brian France out of the big glass office. Lower ticket prices to races, the HOF and even the hotels. It's hard for folks to make a plan to come to Charlotte with all of those factors working against them.

well we are talking about a sport where they continually make left hand turns.... so I'm not sure a HOF is really necessary.

Late afternoon to you all, burrrrr 24+ and light snow right now, Pondscum yes out doing a few parking lots today, no rushing from here to there so it makes it a little easier, it seems like you all have the same idea on the HOF, they need More of everything, and less of the swig kid France,your all right in your comments, LOL each one says it a little different. In order to increase attendance at the NASCAR Hall of Fame CEO Brian France will be inducted into the HoF replacing David Person on the list of inductees. It is believe that by adding France to the Hall of Fame with his father and grandfather this will increase the attendance by ten-fold.

"Having the entire France Dynasty in the Hall of Fame s what the NASCAR fans want to see," France is quoted as saying. "We are also currently looking at other executives to replace the current inductees as this will allow the fans to see the true heroes of the sport."

While those other executives have yet been named, it is believed that they will all be current employees as to pull in names that the entire fan base would know and love.
