08:18 AM ET 12.29 | Derrick Rose, who scored 18 points, had 12 assists and six rebounds on Tuesday, may wind up with a new backcourt sidekick. NBA sources tell us the Bulls are one of the most aggressive teams in the NBA trade market as they try to find a scoring guard who is a good fit with [Rose]. USC coach Kevin O'Neill, a longtime college head coach and NBA assistant has experience with Stephen Jackson and O.J. Mayo, both of whom reportedly on the Bulls radar. "Jackson is a better shooter and probably is a better fit alongside Rose," O'Neill said. "Mayo is more of a slasher and wants the ball in his hands to take it to the basket, which takes the ball out of Rose's hands. (That's why) Jackson is probably a better complement to Rose."

Gibson?? they already have Korver. Mo is too small they need size and length

I would take Mayo over Jackson old self and keep developing the youngster.

Just don't do it, Bro.

They certainly need an upgrade at the SG position, but I' not liking the JAX / Mayo / Smith thing. They would have to give half of their roster in order to make it happen and I don't think they fit the profile, theyre eitheir undersize, unable to play defense, crazy. And they take way to many shoots.

I would rather have someone who can defend and hit 3s, a better version of bogans who could actually hit 3s and play D...
Pietrus or Batum would be a perfect fit.

I don't know about that, that Bulls need a two guard and both Mo and Gibson are to small. If there not at least 6-5 I don't want them as my starting 2 guard.

At best Deng for Jax.At worst....Brewer and C J Watson for Jax.

The Bulls can't give up Deng. IF and it's a big "if" the Bulls trade for Jackson the Bobcats will want salary relief. Look for the two you mentioned plus Bogans, Thomas, and scal. And the draft pick Charlotte gave them in the Tyrus Thomas deal.

Nobody take **** from Cleveland... they're having a junk sale and I mean junk... there's no value at all on that team... yikes.

QUOTE(#10):

I wouldn't go crazy if I was chicago....they've had what 4-5 games with their full roster? They aren't winning games with their offense, its their d that will carry them.Let the sg cmbo play out....certainly they could upgrade, but you don't need all stars at every position

I agree with you to an extent. The Bull are 20-10 even with only playing with a healthy line for 6 games but, you can't win a title with 2 guards like Bogans, Kover and Brewer.

That's just it Capt. Jax ain't a star.An instant upgrade?Certainly. When the bobkittens acquired him wala...playoffs.And the bulls is a perfect system for him, he won't be the #1 scoring option but a key role player. He flourishes in that role.Just as he did with the spurs when he helped with one of their championships.Same way he perfected the role in Goldenstate. Now back with a contender like the bulls he would not only compliment Rose but the other guys as he can handle the ball.

I agree, I think Jackson would be a nice fit for the Bulls, but only if they don't have to give anything of real value.

I'm not a huge fan of OJ Mayo. only 6-4 and he really is great at anything... good at most things shooting, passing , ball handling. But not great at any of it.
