08:07 AM ET 12.30 | Don't look at the numbers and tell Chris Johnson he has slowed down in 2010, or that he shouldn't be in the Pro Bowl. With 1,325 yards, Johnson is the NFL's third-leading rusher. "I actually think my stock and value have gone up. If you look at the whole situation, my value hasn't gone down," Johnson said Wednesday. ... Johnson called his [Pro Bowl] exclusion "bogus" and said he thought he was a lock. "I know I am a victim of my own success. People expect me to rush for 2,000 yards every year."

Probably a snub. that's not bad yardage considering their mess at qb.

It's amazing that C.J. even rushed for over 1,300 yards, considering he was the Titans ONLY threat the whole season.

raise your hand if you actually care about the Pro-Bowl ... and count how many times a favorite, deserving player got snubbed
I realize for players it could activate a bonus clause in their contract(s) - so it that sense, it is BS

Jamal Charles had a big year, and the team he's on won their division. But of course, Charles do not mean nearly as much to his team and CJ does to his.

Exactly. Nice to know he can have an "off" year. That offense has to start throwing a heck of a lot more. A LOT. Then, CJ will be up around 1800.

The Pro Bowl is just something to do until the Super Bowl. BTW, is the Pro Bowl at the Super Bowl site, or have they moved it back to Hawaii?

CJ experienced this season what Barry Sanders had to go through most of his NFL career (other than the snub part).

no idea - shows you how much I actually care about the Pro-Bowl.
I thought it was considered a "failed experiment"
do half the players who get the Pro-Bowl nod even show up anymore? It seems to me every year less and less of the "starters" even show up

The pro bowl is a sham.

True, and the only reason any player cares is because of clauses in their contracts that give them more money if they make it.

Can you imagine how many yards Sanders would have for if he played with the Cowboys then? That line made Emmitt Smith a HOFer. They would have made Sanders the owner of the HOF!

Not sure. He's always been a quiet, private person. Whatever he's doing, I'm sure he's in excellent condition physically. Unlike a lot of former RBs, Sanders' running style spared him from taking very many big hits.

true - his running style was also helped by the fact he played on turf every game in Detroit and Minnesota every season

Spot on. Other than Lomas Brown, I cannot recall a Lions' lineman that was worth spit.
