08:13 AM ET 12.31 | According to a newspaper report out of the Dominican Republic, former Cy Young Award winner Bartolo Colon has heard from the Yankees. [Colon] has not pitched in the Major Leagues since July 24, 2009, but he is still planning a comeback and said there are three teams interested in him. Colon told El Dia, a newspaper in the Dominican Republic, that the Rangers, Yankees and Indians have all expressed some degree of interest in him. "I'll go with the one that signs me," said Colon, who would most likely have to settle for a non-roster contract with an invitation to Spring Training. Colon was 2-1 with a 1.93 ERA in seven starts for the Cibaenas Aguilas in the Dominican Winter League this year.

Carl Pavano....welcome back!

I think the Yankees will just start the season with what they have and see how things develop. No reason to rush into a bad trade or overpay for somebody just to "keep pace" with the Red Sox or Phillies. They still are loaded with talent

Colon has not pitched in the Major Leagues since July 24, 2009...and the three years leading up to that were less than impressive...wouldnt count on him adding a lot to any teams rotation...

In this case, absence does not make the heart grow fonder.

the media is basically linking every available player to the yanks...why, just the other day I saw an article that they were looking at Satchel Paige

The Yankees were trying to sign Bob Feller until they found out he past away.

Here you go Yank fans... here is your answer. Getting kinda sad with the media pulling out every unattainable pitcher (Felix) and every has been as Yankee possibilities.

indeed...and if pettite returns they'll be ok. no need to make a move when players aren't avaialble. if George were alive, they would've traded their best prospects for a few crappy has been starters by now.

I miss old George, he was the greatest owner/GM the Yankees ever had.

I don't know why that stupid thing gets such a bad rap. Any good personal trainer will tel you that a good way to tighten your "core" muscles. Back in the 1800's when I was lifting and working out a lot, my partner and I kept a 3/4 full gallon of paint in the home gym I had. We would use it as part of our ab routine. Try it some time. grab a gallon of paint and mix it side to side for one complete minute. Do 3 sets and let me know how you feel the next day.

I should have mentioned that the cover should be on tight. I might have told you not to use the oil based paint either.

My bad.
