08:32 AM ET 01.02 | There has been very little speculation about Ozzie Guillen's possible successor with the White Sox. With Tony La Russa continuing to say the Cardinals will be his last stop in uniform, the two top names are Joey Cora, Guillen's bench coach, and Joe McEwing, who recently was promoted to replace Chris Chambliss as the Sox's Triple-A manager. The 38-year-old McEwing has had a .556 winning percentage in two seasons in the high-A Carolina League, earning a reputation as a manager coming fast.

Enough of the Ozzie bashing already! Love him or hate him, his record speaks for itself.
It's not his fault he has a nutcase for a son, as well as local and national media that kisses the Cubs' worthless butts every chance it gets. He ranks sixth in winning percentage among active managers -- averaging 86 victories a season -- with a World Series championship and a couple of division titles under his belt.
If he was managing on the North Side (I live a just a few blocks away from Wrigley Field, so I can't be accused of being a disgruntled South Sider), they'd have already built him a statue outside of the so-called "friendly confines."
So, do your research before comparing him to one of your close relatives.

It most likely IS his fault that he has a nutcase son, since he's a nutcase himself and seems to coddle his sons, at least publicly.
Any way, he's highly entertaining and I believe he's a very good manager, but sooner or later he's going to get fired for some thing he or his idiot son says or does. Please don't try to turn it into Cubs bashing. Ozzie's problem isn't the Cubs, it's Ozzie and his family, period.

The problem isn't that Ozzie's little whelp is running his mouth. The problem is the little whelp knowing about private conversations in the manager's office. Ozzie probably just lost every man in the club house. Who will trust him enough to confide in him?
