Beltre, Soriano headed to Angels?

09:21 AM ET 01.02 | Many expect Adrian Beltre to end up in Anaheim at a price discounted from what Scott Boras was looking for (five years, $85 million). The Angels are making sure not to compete against themselves for Beltre. If they land him at shorter money, they will have done a good job playing out the market and getting their price after drawing the line on Carl Crawford. The same could be true with Rafael Soriano, as the Angels currently sit with three setup men and no bona fide closer.

Two very nice players...top notch when healthy.....good luck Angels hope you can give that division some competition. Otherwise Texas runs away with it....All things being equal.

Sign em and regain a pennant in Anaheim.

Boras certainly overplayed his hand with this one. I wonder how much he wishes he had that A's offer back.

People down on the Angels... Getting Morales back and signing Beltre would be a huge help and I don't think the Rangers run away with this division... this could be one of the tightest races next year with Anaheim, Oakland and Texas all lookin pretty good.

the angels need to be smart, when making any deals with boras players, soriano has prove himself that he can close any game any time any where, if the angels would be able to get him it would be a plus for this franchise, adrian beltre, has show that any time that a team sign him for more than a year, he is unable to handle a long term deal, one year deal for him will be great just to know that he will be given to the team a 100% every game not matter what, if the angels do sign beltre for more than a year and give him 75 millions 5 years deal, the halos most likely will be throwing the money to the trash !

if the angels are unable to get soriano, and another high skill player, then they can be sure to be at third place just like last year, till now the halos haven't been able to sign any high talented & skilled player, and if just if the angels expect to compete with the best teams on the majors then they have to build a very solid startin rotation,my advice to this team its that they should try to get josh johnson from florida marlins through the trade way, we know that nothing comes free so the angels should place a good tentative offer!

Josh Johnson? To the Angels? Nice. But the guy would look good much better in Royal Blue...

Boreass overplays his hand in every negotiation. Negotiating merchants in Tijuana are honest compared with him, and the teams would put him out of business by refusing to deal with him...except that they're all too greedy.
