10:21 AM ET 01.02 | Charlie Weis' quick departure from the Chiefs - along with the fact he's leaving an NFL job for one in college - raises the issue of whether Weis and Todd Haley are incompatible. The two once worked together with the New York Jets, with Weis as offensive coordinator and Haley as an offensive assistant trying to make a name for himself in the profession.

I can see it. They're both talented but arrogant. I loved the clip from years past when Haley was the OC at Arizona yelling at Anquan Boldin during a playoff game.

He's earned at least a couple more seasons by guiding this moribund franchise to the playoffs. They'll get beaten like a drum once they get there, but this season has been an unmitigated success for the Chiefs.

Maybe they can both go on Dr. Phil and work it out.

Probably in the second round... I think they are gonna lay the overrated Jets out.

This move may be as much about Charlie's ego as Haley's.
CW may want to prove he can coach at the college level, after the ND disaster, in hopes that he will get another call to become a HC somewhere. It was unlikely he was going to get that call in KC if Haley was taking too much of the glory in CW's opinion.
Sort of a shame; CW is an Offensive Coordinator, but he didn't show HC capabilities while at ND. Another HC screw-up may really be a personal defeat.
Who knows what someone else thinks unless you walk in their shoes? Good luck to CW; at least he appears to have a good pro style QB in Brantley.

Yeah that was it, he bailed... or maybe it's because the most prestigious (not saying the best) job in college football offered him as **** load of money to be their HC... seriously are you really as dumb as your comment made you seem?

The Jets will ceam them. They did what they did because of weak division. Did they play new england or the steelers or Baltimore. That is the test.

Doesn't that depend on which Jets team shows up that day? They have been a bit inconsistent this year, although I tend to agree with you, if only on the fact that the Chiefs are virgins in the playoffs

Baltimore will bury KC. After that, the Ravens will visit New England, where Ray Lewis will pile-drive Tom Brady into the turf.
